Abstract:
This study is to investigate the impacts of the implementation of Competence-based curriculum (CBC) especially on the teaching objectives. The data was collected based on observations of two classes and interview with the two instructors, questionnaire from the two classes of 50 students, and an interview with a stakeholder on the implementation of CBC at Bandung Tourism school based on internal and external factors using a case study. The results show that CBC implementation has shown significant impacts on the teaching objectives. The students in general claimed that they gained the competencies for the future careers from the learning process and the stakeholder is satisfied with the alumni from Bandung Tourism School.
