Abstract:
This research is to examine the external and internal factors which influence the society decision to select hotel accomodation major of a vocational school in Ciamis. This research used quantitative descriptive aproach with simple random mampling technique involving 176 respondents that consist of students and their parents who chose hotel accomodation major. The result shows that subculture has the biggest influence on external factors and memory from the internal side. The external total influence on society decision to select the hotel accomodation major is 28,3% and the internal factors have influenced the society decision with 64,3%. And the result of hypotesis test stated that t value of external factors is 4,112 with 0,000 Sig and less than 0,05. It means that external factors have the significant influence on the decision to select hotel major. Likewise with internal factors with score 5,582 and 0,000 Sig, accordingly internal factors have significant influence on the decision to select hotel major. It is recommended that the vocational school improve the promotion quality and quantity such as mass media, website especially for hotel accomodation major.
